it can happen to a lot of people in the current climate that they feel down. me too. in fact, it happens quite a lot for various reasons.
this is not advice for everyone but idk you can just try it and see i guess.
with the phone usually being just an arms reach away and instant distractions like short form content it can be hard to just sit and sulk. but it helps. i personally have instagram and the endless scrolling and constant new content is highly addictive. when i was younger, even though my peers had it, i was more stern of mind but now im the person i would have disliked back then. alas. while it can momentarily help to just avoid the possibility of a thought occuring my getting sucked into a screen, usually it makes me feel worse. self-pitying slop is rampant, political news is just a psyop and anything actually nice and creative is forgotten within the next few taps.
so when i do realise that i try to do one of the following things.
drink water
used to sound like bullshit to me but actually drinking water does help me feel more fresh (obviously). so, go do that.
brush your teeth
same thing. basic hygiene in general is good
make yourself something nice to eat/drink
you dont need fancy grocieries, you dont need fancy cooking equipment. those are excuses. cook something. maybe it will taste good, maybe it is just edible but if you have time you can try again or just note for the next time. cooking is a good pastime. keeps you focused on the task at hand and is a useful skill.
draw/write
with aforementioned mindkiller-content existing, my mind can feel very pent. i have ideas, but i get distracted before i can realise them.
go for a walk
doesnt matter where, doesnt really matter how long. just go outside. maybe put on some headphones. listen to your friends voice messages. breathe in, breathe out. see the people in your environment. notice the small things.
